Searching for Roy G Biv: RED

Detail of Red Chair by Julie B Booth

Today is the start of the Searching for Roy G Biv Challenge. Here's my RED:
Small set of carved wooden drawers
Coral beads from Star's Beads, Ltd.
Cardinal carved by Carl Hill of Chincoteague, VA
Printed uncooked wheat flour paste resist by Julie B Booth

Be sure to visit Jennifer Coyne Qudeen's blog for more RED photos.
If you are playing along in the Search for Roy, please leave me a comment with your blog, website or Flickr info and I will link this post to yours.

Next month's Challenge color is ORANGE on Thursday, June 21st (third Thursday of the month).

  1. LOVE the detail from your red chair. Is that one I've seen or was it completed after we moved?

I just updated the blog to include links to you, Paper Ponderings and Judy's Journal. Also included your query re: prizes for identifying my subject matter. Short answer is yes.

    1. It is an older piece...the only piece that my son refuses to let me sell!

Looking forward to seeing what others have put up.
      Ooooo prizes...I love prizes!

  2. I find your paste resist work very inspiring. In this and in previous post. Thanks.

  3. Thanks Judy. I had so much fun exploring resists during my "grant year". The above flour paste technique is one I discovered by "happy" accident. Hoping to publish my findings in the future.
