Today I met with my exhibiting group, F.I.N.E. (Fiber in Nearly Everything) in Old Town, Alexandria at a studio in The Torpedo Factory Art Center. Our curator, Trudi Van Dyke was happy to report that she had lined up an exhibition for our new show, All Over the Map for early next year at the Keystone Art & Cultural Center in Lancaster, PA.
Trudi also brought in a copy of the new magazine, Fiber Art Now. She wrote an article for the recent issue comparing fiber art groups on both the east and west coasts.
For those of us still mourning the slow death of FiberArts Magazine, it was great to see that the reins have been picked up. As soon as I got back home, I subscribed online. I'm looking forward to getting my first copy!
