Jumpstart in Hand Stitching

Imani W-R: Running stitch in blue velvet.

Oh my...it's been a month since I last posted!
I'll be catching up over the next few days with posts about stitching.

This first post shows work from the Jumpstart in Hand Stitching workshop that I taught in early January. The Jumpstart workshop is a 2-day fast track version of my five session Hand Stitching class. It includes Journal Prompts, Samplers and Challenges (though not as many as the five session class...obviously!). We had a great weekend...and the students really bonded over stitching.

Here are some of the journal entries...

Imani W-R: Journal with stitched samples.

Linda M.: Journal entry.

Patricia de P W: Journal entry.
Here are some of the stitch samplers. Students focused on line stitches, looped stitches, and texture stitches.
