Just a small flock of fabrics before I head off to work...
These were printed with two carved Speedball Speedy Stamp (Carve) blocks. The design was based on a motif from an ancient Peruvian weaving.
This piece was created with a block made from adhesive craft foam that I embossed with a ballpoint pen. I used one of Katherine's Mexican embroideries as inspiration. I'll have a step-by-step about this block design sometime in the next few days.

Could you have made the birds using craft foam also?
ReplyDeleteThe birds with the flowers were made with craft foam. Yes, you probably could use craft foam to make the other birds. Thanks for commenting.
DeleteHi again, do you have step by step instructions for the stamp blocks. I am wondering how you line up the blocks when stamping 2 different colors?

Hi. You can look at the Featured Tutorial in the left hand column or sign up for my free newsletter (right column). The newsletter I just released talks about printing with the Speedy Carve blocks. As far as lining up more than one color...I admit that I usually "eyeball" the lining up. I sometimes create a shaped block from craft foam or a Speedy Carve block, print that first and then overprint with a more detailed block. Hope that helps.
