| Dried, blended lentils on fabric |
Though interesting to look at, the lentil paste did not make a good resist. It was lifting and crumbling off and when painted, it breached almost completely. It's possible that a different ratio of water to lentils may yield a different result. But for now, I will be moving on...
This looks so fun! And so promising! Just wondering how you "painted" over it...with a brush or roller? Also wondering how it would have worked with a screen laid over it to hold everything down? Think the paint/ink would have printed well?

I do want to try again. I'm wondering about the ratio of water to lentils I added before blending and also wondering if I could have added more water after they were blended. I used a foam brush to paint on the paint like I did for all my other resists. It might have worked if I had sprayed the paint on the fabric. Hadn't thought about putting a screen down.
