Weekly Pattern Wednesday Week #4
Another Wednesday...another pattern. I'm playing Lynn Krawczyk's Weekly Pattern Wednesday.
Today's pattern is rather ap-peeling....isn't it? It's made using grapefruit! If you'd like to learn how to make print blocks from citrus peels, you can see Issue #24 of my free online newsletter, Julie B Booth Surface Design News. If you like what you see, you can sign up for the Newsletter in the right-hand column.
To see Lynn's pattern and the patterns of other players...visit Lynn's blog today. While you're at it...why not join in on the fun! Post a pattern and leave a comment on Lynn's post.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Gurli...just love playing with my "kitchen" stuff for patterns and prints.
DeleteHow clever! I have your book (I won!!!!) but never thought to use your technique for my patterns! Hmmmmmmm I might have to revisit what I'm doing each week! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHope that you're enjoying the book, Robbie. I've been trying to use printed patterns...but maybe not every week. Hope you do try some of the techniques fr the book...bet you could make some really great patterns!
DeleteThis is a great pattern and an interesting technique. I never thought to carve the peels and rinds and print with them.
ReplyDeleteHi Janelle- I'm always amazed at the resources we have right at our fingertips (or in the refrigerator) to print fabrics!
DeleteGreat inspiration once again Julie! Love all your ideas. Gets me thinking! I still have my lemon ends which are now dried...but love printing with them
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deb. It's fun to keep thinking about how to use stuff in the house/kitchen. Just when I think I'll run out of ideas...another pops up! Wonder how dry lemon slices would print...?
DeleteGrapefruit!! Wow - nothing is off limits, is it? Really wonderful! :)
ReplyDeleteYup...crazy me!
