Mola-licious! Last chance to enter to win the giveaway!

What a treat to receive packages full of mola-licious fabrics! In case you are scratching your head, I was Queen of The Printed Fabric Bee for the month of March. My theme was molas...the colorful layered reverse applique designs created by the Kuna women of the San Blas Islands (Panama).

I've been drooling over the results! I love how the fabrics seem to complement each other...Great job Bee members!

Today is the last chance for you to leave a comment on my April 2nd post or on The Printed Fabric Bee blog, in order to have your name included in the giveaway drawing for 6" versions of these and additional fabrics. I'll be announcing the winner tomorrow. Good luck!

  2. So excited I found your blog. I am an artist and really want to start designing patterns for textile designs. However my work is all done by hand and not digital so I am not sure if that will be a challenge in regards to getting in the industry.

    1. Hi Rosalina- Thanks so much for stopping by! I love hand-printing fabrics...you can probably tell! I've hand-printed yardage (see Caos on F Gallery in left-hand column) and I know of people like Carol R. Eaton who hand-dye and print yardage and sell to quilters. It really depends on who you plan for your customer base. It's also possible to print a sample and then have it commercially reproduced by a place like Spoonflower. My guess is that you could also print samples and then approach fabric companies with your ideas. I haven't done this but Lynn Krawczyk has recently developed a line of fabrics with a commercial company.
