Stitchy Stuff Part 2

Jodie F.: Layers piece completed at the beach!

Yesterday, I showed you images of some of the completed pieces from the spring Hand Stitching class. Today, I'm going to show you some of the pieces from students in the winter Hand Stitching class. These are either new pieces or ones from class that were completed. I get goosebumps handling them! I feel so fortunate to have such great students!

Jodie F.: Layers piece completed.
Jodie F.: Layers piece completed (at the beach!)
Jodie F.: New piece created at the beach. Jodie saw the waves breaking on the shore and just had to capture it in stitch!
Jodie F.: Texture piece still in process (just a reminder that this is a 4" square!).
Erika C.: A piece that I missed but ingenious! She cut away one piece to reveal the back of the piece behind it.
Jan B.: Playing with the printed pattern.
Jan B.: Couched yarns become and angel
Jan B.: More Bullions!
Lee W.: A new layers piece.
Me!: A two-sided layers piece side one.

    1. Hi Mo- I don't believe she does but I will send your comment along to her. She is a quilter and hand stitching is appearing in more of her quilts. I also think that piece is stunning...especially knowing how small it is.

  6. How beautifully delicate Jodi F's beach piece is! I'm disappointed by your reply above. It would have been fun to explore her other work

    1. I spoke with Jodie last week and mentioned Mo's comment. At this point, blogging doesn't interest her. She does have a Facebook page. Email me if you'd like to know that.
