Searching for Roy G Biv II: Green Update #3

Love this little green bird on her green perch.
Green fence and shadows.
Soft greens from a neighborhood walk.
Luminous green.
Luscious green grapes from the Farmer's Market at the Ferry Building, San Francisco.
Green tomatoes also from the Farmer's Market at the Ferry Building, San Francisco.

It's that time of the month again! Time to post your photos for this month's Search for Roy G Biv (the colors of the rainbow). As you can see this month's color is GREEN.

To play along just post some GREEN photos by midnight, Saturday, May 18th (Eastern USA time) and make a comment here. I will link back to your blog or  website or Flickr. If you have none of those, feel free to email me (threadborn@gmail) with your photos and I will post them here.

Looking forward to seeing all the variety (remember, tints and shades encouraged!) of GREENS today.

Here again is this month's Challenge fabric. The drawing will be on Sunday, May 19th. In order for your name to go into the hat, you must play along.

Be sure to take a look at my Roy co-host (or is it cohort?!) Jennifer's blog for D.C. GREENS.

Kim at Letting in the Light has created a lovely bit of GREEN.

Fiona at Paper Ponderings is pondering a great Picasso quote and abstract GREEN this month.

Some lovely organic GREENS from Margaret over at Charlton Stitcher.

Maya at Million Little Stitches has a selection of hot summer GREENS.

Lisa at arzigogolare has some edible psychedelic fractal GREENS (perfectly legal!). GREEN Part 2 features getting up close and personal with olive trees...with a Part 3 yet to come!

Deb at saltbushstitch has some gorgeous sea glass GREENS.

  2. Beautiful intense greens! It's good to be here again, Julie. Love your shots, especially the grapes and the tomatoes. I hope I can post some entries in time. I won the previous Green contest, how lovely that was!

    1. How great to hear fr you Ersi! I have hopped over for a quick look at your spectacular paper homes. I hope to spend a bit more time studying them and reading about your show. There's still plenty of time to post greens!

  3. I love your greens, Julie - the fence/shadows especially intrigues me - and this month's fabric came out beautifully...the word 'lush' comes to mind, like something you'd find in a rain forest!

    1. The green fence was a "find" on one of my neighborhood walks. It's interesting how searching for a particular color helps you to really "see" things you might normally pass by.

I had a lot of fun creating this month's fabric...glad you like it!

  4. Hi Julie Thought I should tell you, there seems to be a slight problem with the links this time ... clicking on Million Little Stitches seems to be linked to me at Charlton Stitcher as well my own link. I'd hate people to be disappointed when they get me again....!

  5. Hi Julie. I'm a little bit late as I had trouble posting on my blog. I love all your greens (and everyone else's) especially that little bird! And I really like the fabric you have made this month!

    1. Hi Deb-glad you made it to the "party"! I enjoyed looking at your greens...wish I had such a lovely collection of sea glass. I took the photo of the green bird last summer while visiting my brother and his girlfriend in Maine. This was a "found" still life. Seemed perfect for this month's color. Happy that you like the fabric.
