Fifteen patches completed and more in the works (many more...).
After four and a half hours of pouring down rain this morning, we are getting a short respite and a peak of sun.
Undoubtedly, this means we will have thunderstorms later.
I'm beginning to think I live in a tropical rain forest!
Look forward to seeing them all completed. Sun forecast here for a few days so hope that you get some too.
ReplyDeleteHaven't decided how many I'm making but certainly a lot more than 15! Sunnier weather predicted but we are now into the typical summer cycle of afternoon thunderstorms. Planning to get an early morning walk in with a friend before it heats up into the 90s.
DeleteSo tell me...just what is the plan for these delightful little squares? Will they be sewn together? Will they be displayed individually? Or in groups...or....
ReplyDeleteThat is a very good question. I have some possibilities jotted down. Some additional ideas from FINE. At first I was planning on sewing and stuffing them, but I am now like them raw-edged. I may sew them in groups to another piece of fabric. Any thoughts? I'm still a bit scattered about the upcoming FINE show...can't seem to focus. Hope you are feeling better.
DeleteFeeling better now...but scattered. Too much to do and too little time before going to the beach next week. All I really want is to camp out in the studio.
DeleteGood luck with your squares. I'm working on some too - totally inspired by you and your own square work. I'm using tea bags though. Or was before my 2 week hiatus. Arg!
Happy to hear that you're feeling better. Are you going to South Carolina (beach)? I'm not sure a "real" trip to the beach (ie Maine or Cape Cod) is happening this yr. Hoping to talk my VA Beach friend into having me down in early August. I am so curious to see what you do with your tea bag squares. Interesting to me is that when these squares are lined up they seem to almost become entities...like a crowd of individuals. Have a great trip!
