If you are new to the Search for Roy (the colors of the rainbow), it's a little game that Jennifer Q and I came up with in the spring of 2012. Each month, we search for a particular color of the rainbow. This month it happens to be BLUE. Post up to five BLUE photos (it's okay if you do more) and leave a comment here or at Jennifer's blog and we will link to your blog. Or if you don't have a blog, send your photos to me in an email and I will post them for you here. You have until Saturday, June 22 (midnight Eastern USA time) to post.
In addition, each month I create a Challenge Fabric in the color of the month. Here is my BLUE fabric.

That sculpture is extraordinary .. and I love the wonky shutter in a deliciously soft blue, almost parallel but not quite.

Thanks Kim. Yes, it is certainly hydrangea season here in DC. Such beautiful blues! Congrats again on the graduation of your daughter. My son just graduated fr college and is now job searching...though I think he's getting rather comfy in the family rm (which is also my studio!).

ReplyDeleteI do love that shutter! It was the combination of the soft blue and the crocked slats that drew me in. I'm looking forward to this visit with my parents as it will be more of a family reunion. I will get to see my young nieces and nephew and, of course, a big art project is planned!

DeleteIt's hard to choose which photos I like best, they are all so striking! Maybe the still life and the sculpture? I wish I could have photographed it too. And that shutter reminds me of old piano keys laying out of array.

DeleteThe amazing sculpture and the wonky shutters are my favourites. But hard to have favourites when there are so many stunning photos. And the hydrangea is one of my most loved plants in my southern hemisphere garden.
