I'm just back from a long weekend in Virginia Beach visiting my friend Laura. We took a 6.5 mile walk on Saturday through the forest and finally to the ocean beach.
The wind and rain from Hurricane Sandy created some interesting art installations.
Andy Goldsworthy would be proud.
#4, 5 & 6 leave me breathless. Especially #5.
ReplyDeleteIt was amazing walking along the beach and seeing how it was sculpted by wind and rain. Also, how the seaweed was distributed and rolled up into little tumbleweeds (actually more like giant hairballs!). Enjoyed your indigo post.
DeleteAndy Goldsworthy would be proud! It always amazes me that there can be so much beauty to be found amidst destruction.
ReplyDeleteI felt privileged to get a glimpse of Nature as Artist...but it is sad that the same artist also affected so many lives further north.
