Exciting News! My Website is Up and Running! New Classes! QSDS Conference!

Hi there! I've been having loads of fun stitching over these past few months. I really feel like my stitching has taken a whole new turn!

Finally, after much procrastination, I have a very straightforward website up and running. I still need to do some tweaking (adding more artworks to the gallery and captions for said artworks) but most important, you can now see my Online and In-Person Class schedules. I will always post a flyer of the most recent online class offerings and a place where you can click for printable PDFs. You can also plan ahead as I have the list of upcoming classes through 2024 along with the dates. Registration times will be announced closer to class start dates. To get to my new website- go to threadborn.com

I'm excited to let you know that you can take a whole week's worth of IN PERSON classes with me at Quilt and Surface Design Symposium (QSDS) in Columbus, Ohio! I'll be teaching Stitch Play from Monday, May 27 to Friday May 31 and my much beloved Talisman Pouch class on June 1 and 2.

For more information on these classes and how to register, please click this link.

Stained Glass Doily patch using Surface Darning. Each optional kit will come with a vintage hand-dyed doily from Artistic Artifacts.

Registration for Visible Mending Stories-- my mid-June Online (Zoom) offering starts tomorrow, April 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM Eastern USA time (check the time in Washington DC). You MUST email me at threadborn@gmail.com to register. After reviewing the choices on threadborn.com, for this class, please specify the class section and if you want an optional kit. I am only offering a limited supply of 40 kits for this class (one per student) due to time constraints. Cost is $40 plus shipping and I am willing to ship international.

Reverse Applique Window patch with Boro-Style Stitching

In this new class, we'll follow up on the original Intro to Visible Mending workshop with a focus on creating elaborate patches that can then be arranged on a fabric base to tell a visual story or applied to clothing to enhance and mend.

Patches will include Stained Glass Doily or Lace patch, a multi-layered Reverse Applique Window patch, Free-form patch with couching, needle lace, beads and Shisha-style attachment of sea glass, Woven Donut and Ruching patch and a Peekaboo hinged door patch.

Hope you'll consider joining me! Again-- here is the link to the information.
